St. Paul's Childhood Center


Founded in 1970, St. Paul's Childhood Center (SPCC) is a nonprofit child development center, and program of St. Paul's United Church of Christ. 

SPCC serves children six weeks to twelve years old (Summer School Age Program), in the beautiful and historic Summit-Grand Avenue neighborhood. SPCC voluntarily participates in the Parent Aware quality rating sytem and is a four star (our of four) center as well as a NECPA (National Early Childhood Program Accreditation) accredited center. Our playground is one of five in Minnesota to be certified as a Nature Explore Classroom. The mission of SPCC is to provide the community with a family-centered environment for early learning that fosters physical, cognitve, social and emotional development, as well as promote a positive sense of individuality through a community-inclusive, arts-infused emergenct curriculum. 

SPCC is licended by the state of MN, and is proud to provide a program for early learning that offers low ratios, and a highly qaulified, long-tenured staff. SPCC is located at Summit Ave and Milton St. on the east wing of St. Paul's UCC, across from William Mitchell College, and in the heart of the Grand Avenue Business District. SPCC has been providing the community an exceptional resource for early childhdood education for forty-four years. 

Our facility includes spacious classrooms full of natural light, a superb large muscle room, an art studio, a playground with a whimiscal playhouse, and a nurturing staff, dedicated to the field of early childhood education.
