Grand Meander is a St. Paul tradition that captures the charm of historic Grand Avenue and the cozy communal spirit of the holidays! Pick out your Christmas tree, have breakfast with Santa, hear carolers meander from store to store, and hop on a classic trolley and ride the 20-block length of Grand Avenue.
Breakfast with Santa Presented by Tavern on Grand
Join us for Breakfast with Santa from 8:30-10:30 a.m. at the Tavern on Grand. Breakfast includes 2 free pancakes and coffee, milk, or juice. Extra pancakes and sides can be purchased. There is no cost to meet Santa, but please bring an unwrapped toy for
Toys for Tots if you are able. Tavern on Grand is located at 656 Grand Avenue.
Visit Santa's Reindeer
Meet members of Santa's reindeer team between 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Reindeer will be at 2 locations:
Frattallone’s Ace Hardware (east), 650 Grand
Fire Truck Rides Provided by the Vulcan Krewe
There will be free fire truck rides provided by the Vulcan Krewe from 10:00-11:00 a.m. The rides will start and finish at Dixie's on Grand, 695 Grand Avenue. This is a great way to experience Grand Avenue and meet members of the Vulcan Krewe!
Santa on the Avenue
Art at Ramsey Presented by the Artists Circle
A Juried Holiday Art Fair of quality fine crafts and fine art. This event is sponsored by Saint Paul Public Schools Community Education in cooperation with Artists’ Circle, a non-profit art organization promoting fine crafts. This is the art fair’s 20th anniversary show. The Youth Art Fair, with local young artists, ages 10-18 will also return for its 9th year. Stop by Ramsey Middle School between 10am - 5pm (Youth Art Fair ends at 4pm) to see and purchase some beautiful arts and crafts. FREE to attend.

Free Trolley Rides
What better way to experience all of Grand Avenue than on a historic trolley? FREE trolley rides will be provided from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. You can hop on or off the trolley at a bus stop on Grand between Dale & Fairview.
