GABA works with a Public Relations firm to pitch Grand Avenue and business news to the media year round. The value of media received as a result of public relations over the past 12 months is equivalent to over $130,000.00.

Each year, GABA publishes a Guide to Grand brochure listing each of the Association’s members that is distributed to member businesses, organizations, groups, individuals, tour organizations, and hotels.

 

As a member, your organization is listed on the GABA website (www.grandave.com) with your business description, hours of operation, a link to your website, and links to your social media. Last year grandave.com had over 5 million hits! Gold & Silver levels of membership include the opportunity for advertising  on www.grandave.com. Gold level members logos and links will appear most frequently on the website.

Members of the Grand Avenue Business Association can take advantage of the Association’s city, neighborhood and police department relationships for individual as well as group needs.

 

Members are invited to serve on the GABA Board of Directors and one of five committees to influence policy and development on Grand Avenue.

The association produces four public events throughout the year;  Grand Old Day, Paws on Grand, Boo Bash, and Grand Meander. Members receive a waived participation fee and a free listing in the promotional materials. Additional sponsorship opportunities are available for each event. Members receive free participation in Study Break on Grand, a promotion geared towards college/university students in the area. Gold level members receive their logo in all event guides.

Receive regular e-mail updates from the GABA office regarding current crime issues, event reminders and other information. GABA produces a bi-monthly newsletter full of pertinent information that is e-mailed to Avenue businesses. Members may submit articles and news to be communicated to other businesses on Grand Avenue. Silver and Gold level members have the opportunity to include advertisements in the newsletter.

 

A Member-to-Member Reward discount is available to invite new business, increase loyalty and promote Avenue businesses working together. Members are also able to take advantage of Reward offers AND offer them to employees as a benefit/retention tool.

 

Members are invited to attend educational seminars and focus groups to discuss current issues and happenings with members.

Attend Meet & Greets and GABA Thirsty Thursdays to meet other members, exchange ideas, and promote customer referrals. Host businesses have the opportunity to showcase their business.
