The Grand Avenue Business Association Membership Committee is involved with reviewing all aspects of membership: prospecting, recruiting and retention. The committee ensures that GABA membership provides proven value to businesses via education, networking, marketing, discounts and much more. The committee serves in an advisory role to the GABA Board.
Membership will focus on topics such as: Education, Annual Meeting, Networking opportunities, member dues structure.
The Grand Avenue Business Association Advocacy Committee ensures that our collective business voice is heard on topics important to Grand Avenue. Committee members, representing Grand Avenue businesses, meet monthly to discuss and clarify issues and recommend strategy accordingly. The Advocacy Committee is proactive and advocates on governmental issues and promotes economic interests to contribute to the quality of life in our community. The committee serves in an advisory role to the GABA Board.
Advocacy will focus on topics such as: parking, property paxes, Crime, member requests for support.
The Grand Avenue Business Association produces events to drive traffic to Grand Avenue businesses, increase awareness about Grand Avenue and its commercial amenities and to connect with and engage the community. The Event Committee will work with GABA staff to develop, plan and evaluate Grand Avenue’s annual promotions and events. This will include overseeing long range planning and organization of the event calendar, event coordination, and post event evaluation. The committee serves in an advisory role to the GABA Board.
Current events include: Grand Old Day, Paws on Grand, BooFest, Oktoberfest & Grand Meander.
