Message From the President
Thank you for your interest in the Grand Avenue Business Association (GABA). You may be asking, why should I join GABA? The Grand Avenue Business Association provides marketing, advocacy, and education to help member businesses prosper and enhance the quality of life along the Avenue and surrounding community. It is a membership organization that offers businesses an increased voice and collective presence. GABA assists and promotes member businesses on an individual and membership-wide basis.
The role and scope of GABA is vast. The organization is currently launching a new logo and tagline, “Experience the Tradition.” The goal is to promote Grand Avenue as a destination for eating, shopping, services and as a place to live. We will be installing street banners, which are being funded by the Grand Avenue Improvement Fund, which was created this past year. In addition, the organization is implementing the 2012-2013 strategic plan and a prime focus of GABA is to attract and keep more customers on Grand Avenue. The organization is committed to providing increased and noticeable benefits of membership to all of the member businesses.
In addition to the four community focused events that happen each year (Grand Old Day, Paws on Grand, Boo Bash & Grand Meander), GABA provides networking opportunities, advocacy, educational seminars and the chance to serve on five different committees.
Through all of this, we will continue to grow and to strengthen as an organization. We will work to implement a greater strategic vision and plan for Grand Avenue and will be looking to each of you for inspiration, input and engagement. I encourage you to become a member of GABA and to become actively engaged. The Grand Avenue Business Association becomes stronger as each new business joins.
Sincerely,
Paul Dzubnar, Green Mill Restaurant & Bar
